  Dr. Zonnya's Life
Life had been kind to Dr. Zonnya until 1993. Then 18 months of bad hair days began.

Dr. Zonnya was diagnosed with breast cancer . . . followed by the death of four family members in ten months. Her father-in-law, a retired Methodist minister, died at the age of 89. While the family mourned his passing, his long life was celebrated. At his funeral, Dr. Zonnya's mother died . . . followed by the death of her brother/cousen Johnny and then the death of her brother/cousen Smitty.

Dr. Zonnya suffered from compound grief. While she continued to breathe, she felt much of her died along with her family members. Then came the blow of her life. Her husband with whom she had been in ministry for almost 20 years left an abandonment note on the floorboard of her car and her life as she knew it was over.

He refused to communicate with her. Within a few days of finding the note, everything was gone . . . home, car, money in the bank, her marriage, her ministry, her life. Not only had he abandoned her, forsaken her, but he began living his life as though she did not exist.

Dr. Zonnya moved in with her father and prayed and cried. She locked herself away from the world. The energetic, outgoing, enthusiastic messenger that God had blessed with messages to inspire others was dead. On Easter Sunday, laying with a 102 temperature, God wrapped His love and peace around her. In her spirit, He assured her of His power of Resurrection, not just for eternity, but for today. Everything that was gone, He could Resurrect; She had to do her part and He would do His part.

God validated in her spirit that her husband had changed her circumstance, but her God was not a God of circumstance. On that Easter Sunday morning she submitted and surrendered herself as a willing messenger. God is working in her life and has birthed Lives Touching Lives - A Ministry of Encouragement out of this tragedy.

The messages of encouragement that Dr. Zonnya shares are birthed out of her real-life experiences. She shares from her heart.

Dr. Zonnya…………is still Alive!!!!!!
Dr. Zonnya survived a death defying automobile accident on Tuesday June 7th. She was in Minneapolis with her good friend Sheryl Turner who was driving her to Fargo, ND to conduct a seminar. They were about 20 miles from Fargo when a tragic car accident happened. Dr Zonnya became unconscious and had no memories of what took place.

The following account of what happened is what Dr Zonnya over-heard the witnesses recall.
The witnesses account was that Ms. Turner was passing a car on the left side and that car swerved into her left lane.

The heavy Mercedes Dr. Zonnya and Sheryl were in swerved, flipped, and rolled down a steep embankment into a large ravine of water. When Dr. Zonnya became conscious  she was unaware they were up-side down in the water. At that point Dr. Zonnya heard her friend Sheryl speak “There is water coming in the car”---“get out”. Dr. Zonnya began to grope for the door handle –but could not find one in its normal place. Dr. Zonnya screamed for someone to come down to help her and her friend. The state patrol and paramedics arrived, Dr. Zonnya yelled to those who had stopped to come down and help her friend out of the car. They were finally able to get her out safely.
Dr Zonnya was still sitting in the marsh, mud and water when the paramedics arrived. The paramedics where able to assist Dr Zonnya and Sheryl up to the interstate highway. The driver of a car and a semi-truck driver witnessed the entire scene and were able to give an eye witness report to the State Troopers. While the State Patrols were taking their statements, the paramedics were conducting their initial exam on Dr. Zonnya and Sheryl. When the State Trooper spoke to Dr. Zonnya, his first comment was, “Ladies, based on the eye witness account, there is no logical reason why you are walking away from this scene.”
The paramedics did their job well…they determined both ladies were in shock. Sheryl had major head and neck trauma. When they examined Dr. Zonnya, they found the left side of her face severely bruised with the possibilities of her cheek bone being cracked. It was apparent to them she had several ribs cracked or broken, and she was experiencing hip pain and had a major cut on her right foot. The paramedics strongly insisted that both ladies go to the ER. They decided to go to the ER the following morning after returning to Minneapolis.
Dr. Zonnya’s cell phone somehow made it through the water log and she was able to call her assistant who than called Sheryl’s husband Marty and who then the assistant made a call to the hosts in Fargo, Carmen and Shawn Gray. Subsequently when Shawn called Dr. Zonnya, she asked him to send transportation for them, to bring them to the seminar were she was to present. She was committed to fulfill her commitment.
Dr Zonnya's was to have given a 90-minute presentation: However she remembers giving a 40-minute presentation. By the end of the seminar, Sheryl’s husband had arrived to take them back to Minneapolis.
On Wednesday, Dr. Zonnya and Sheryl spent most of the day in the ER. Dr Zonnya was diagnosed with: Closed head injury, severe concussions, 5 cracked or broken ribs, severe facial bruising and a left eye injury. She was treated for a severe cut on her right foot. The doctor suggested she remain in Minneapolis for a few days as she was a candidate for a stroke. Dr. Zonnya spent time with Marty and Sheryl and then returned home to Florida on Sunday.
It can be concluded that because God has more lives for her to touch, the angels protected their car --- that is the reason Dr. Zonnya walked away.
Dr. Zonnya loves and cares for you and anytime you need her please don't hesitate to contact her.

God Bless You

Dr. Zonnya
